In April 2024, Victoria Beckham celebrated her 50th birthday, and all of the Spice Girls showed up to attend her party. She shared a photo of the five of them together again, writing, “The best gift to be reunited!! Thank you to all my friends and family for celebrating with me. Kisses! xxx.”

Her husband, David Beckham, even captured a video of the group singing and dancing to their 1997 song “Stop.”

“I mean come on,” he captioned the clip, which received an outpouring of love from fans who were overjoyed to see the ladies back together.

According to The New York Times, Mel B, a.k.a. Scary Spice, reposted David’s video to her Instagram Story, writing, “About last night #tourdatescomingsoon.” Naturally, that resulted in the internet going aflame with rumors of the girl group reuniting with a tour.

Then a month later, her son Cruz Beckham posted another clip of the Spice Girls at Victoria’s birthday bash, simply captioning the Reel, “You’re welcome....” This time, they sang their hit “Mama” while Cruz accompanied on the guitar.

That same day, David made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and commented on his wife’s nostalgic moment.

“How long had it been since they sang together?” Kimmel asked the former soccer pro.

“It’s actually been like 12 years since they did the Olympics in the U.K., but over 15 years since they were actually on the stage together,” David recalled. “So obviously having them all that night—and I didn’t expect them to all get up on stage—but I had a whole video planned where me and my kids recreated the ‘Mama’ video. So my son, who plays the guitar and sings, had a song, and he sang ‘Mama,’ and then all of a sudden all the girls got up.“

“And I’m their biggest fan,” he added. “I tend to not tell my wife that because I tend to tell her that I fancied her, but she was a Spice Girl! I love that about her. So I was a fan.”

With all the chatter of a reunion, ahead is everything you need to know about the possibility of the Spice Girls coming back in 2024.

It’s not looking likely—but that could change. On May 7, Victoria Beckham had sat down for an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow for her Goop podcast, where she revealed that she currently has no plans for a Spice Girls reunion.

“So often people say ‘Are you going to go back on tour?’ I am not going to go back on tour, on the record,” she clarified. “But I loved that time, and I’m so thankful. I love the girls, and I’m so appreciative of the fans.”

The fashion designer explained to Paltrow how their mini performance at her birthday party came to be.

“Not gonna lie, had a bit of alcohol, seemed like a good idea, and I did have a lot of fun,” Beckham shared.

Also during the podcast, the former girl group member was asked what her favorite song of theirs is.

“I like ‘Say You’ll Be There.’ I don’t know if it’s the song or the catsuit I love. That was the video that my husband was watching when he said, ‘I’m gonna marry the one in the PVC catsuit,’” Beckham recalled. “It has really lovely memories, that song. There were so many great songs, I really am so thankful.”
