Xbox held a Partner Preview showcase yesterday, and despite ripping off Nintendo’s Partner Showcase Direct-style presentation, the company showed off a whole host of games coming to Xbox in the near future. Nearly a dozen games were featured in the stream, from the big to the small and everything in between, and it was a pretty good showing overall.

You can watch the full half-hour showcase in the video at the bottom of this article, if you really want to, but we’ve watched the whole thing for you, and summed it all up in this handy article telling you everything that was announced in the March 2024 Xbox Partner Preview.

Final Fantasy 14 Xbox Release Date

We’ve known about Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox for quite some time, and it’s even been in somewhat of an open beta for a couple months now. Now, it’s ready to leave beta, as the full Final Fantasy 14 experience will be launching on Xbox Series X|S on March 21, 2024.

Sleight of Hand

New Zealand developer RiffRaff Games revealed their new game, Sleight of Hand, which is a third-person stealth sim that follows a former detective and current witch who wants to get back at the coven that framed her. It looks to have a lot of interesting different game mechanics, with our curious hero using smoke-based magic based on a customizable deck of cards. Sleight of Hand will be released on Game Pass on day one, sometime in 2025.

The Sinking City 2

After a slightly messy divorce from their publisher, Frogwares is back with a sequel to The Sinking City. It looks exactly like what you’d expect from a sequel to the psychological horror game, with plenty of terrifying, Eldritch horrors and strong detective vibes. The Sinking City 2 will be released in 2025.

The Alters

The Alters is a unique take on a sci-fi story, in which a miner named Jan has to operate a workstation that needs multiple people to manage all by himself. How does he do it? With dozens of clones with himself, all of which is based on a major decision he made in his life. One is the Jan who never left home, another is the Jan who tried to save his marriage. It’s all very strange and interesting, and we’re keen to see how it turns out when it releases in 2024.

Monster Jam Showdown

Look, there are monster trucks, there are vibrant, colorful worlds, and a whole lot of fun. You don’t need to know much more, except that it’ll launch in 2024.

Creatures of Ava

Developed by Inverge Studios and published by 11 bit studios – which is quickly becoming one of the best publishers we’ve seen lately – Creatures of Ava has you stepping into the shoes of a nature conservationist. It looks great, and there’s no combat so it should be a pretty chill game all up. It’s set to be released in 2024.

The First Berserker: Khazan

We’ve known about The First Berserker for a little bit now, but this was our first deep dive into the game. It’s a dark fantasy soulslike that treads some familiar ground while still seemingly doing a lot that we haven’t seen in the genre in recent years. If you’re a soulslike fan then you’ll want to keep an eye on this, although you might be waiting a while — there’s no release date set yet.

Tales of Kenzera

Speaking of games to keep an eye on, Tales of Kenzera might be the biggest highlight of the show. It’s a colorful new 2D platformer with a story that touches on exploring grief, alongside some very challenging platforming that looks quite good. It’s out on April 23, 2024.

Unknown 9: Awakening

Please, go look up the trailer for Unknown 9: Awakening and then send me a message telling me what the heck I just watched. Unknown 9’s latest trailer is absolutely bonkers, and shows us truth-seeker Haroona, whose powers give her control over time, space, and other people. It’s set to be released in Summer 2024, and hopefully by then we’ll have processed that trailer.

Persona 3 Reload: The Answer

Persona 3 Reload is getting FES’s post-game content as paid DLC, which you can read more about in our full article about it:

Frostpunk 2 Release Date

Dead Mage’s follow-up to Frostpunk is highly anticipated by a lot of folks, including us at GLHF. It’s due to be released on July 25, 2024, and we can’t wait.

Stalker Trilogy Shadow Drop

Surprise! The Stalker trilogy is out on Xbox right now. It includes Heart of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Heart of Prypiat, all of which have been tweaked and modified to work well on console. Stalker 2 is still a little bit off, but with the trilogy here on Xbox now, there’s plenty to pass the time.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Did you like Monster Hunter Rise’s raids as much as I did? Are you a fan of magical warriors who cleans evil with magnificent and slick spells? Then boy, is Kunitsu-Gami the game for you. Capcom’s next game is part tower defense and part Monster Hunter, with just a dash of Dragon’s Dogma to round it all out. It’s set to be released in 2024.
