We only get to hear it every four years, but few things in sports announcing – if any – are better than Dan Hicks and Rowdy Gaines calling a U.S. swimming come-from-behind victory at the Summer Olympics.

Fans were treated to just that on Wednesday night.

U.S. Olympics swimmer Robert Finke came from behind in the 800M freestyle on Wednesday night. Finke was in a clear fourth place at the final 50M turn. However, the U.S. swimmer turned in an incredible final 50M, finishing in first place for the gold medal.

It was a pretty insane finish.

Hicks and Gaines, NBC’s veteran Olympic swimming announcers, had an incredible performance, too.

Fans across the country have taken to social media to boast about their love for the announcing duo.

Hopefully we get some more thrilling moments from Hicks and Gaines as the Summer Olympics continue this week.

NBC is currently airing coverage of the Olympic swimming events.
