Everyone’s Making Same Joke About State Farm Today

It’s been a rough week for the State Farm insurance company, specifically, the company’s two premier mascots – Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers.

In the past few days Rodgers has lost his star wide receiver Davante Adams. Just a few hours ago, Mahomes lost one of his favorite weapons, wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

That’s a big blow to the two star quarterbacks who also happen to be stars in many State Farm ad campaigns. So it should be no shock that NFL fans are tying the two together that way.

On Twitter, fans are having a field day making fun of the two via their connection to State Farm. The most common joke is people wondering if State Farm offers protection when a quarterback loses its wide receivers:

There’s no denying that Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers will have to allocate their targets very differently next season. But there probably isn’t anything that State Farm can do to help them.

That isn’t to say that either quarterback will be too badly bothered by the losses. Rodgers has undergone all kinds of roster turnover in his 10-plus years as a starter. Mahomes has proven that he can turn almost any wide receiver into a star.

So maybe Rodgers and Mahomes don’t need to start investing in wide receiver insurance after all.

It’s still a rough look for State Farm as if they want to recruit more star quarterbacks for their ad campaigns.
