Everyone has someone to cheer for in the Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week poll for April 22-28
All 14 Monroe County Region schools have at least one candidate this week.

Here are the candidates in alphabetical order:
Jace Boomer, Bedford baseball: Delivered 3 hits and 5 RBI in win over Monroe.
Brooklyn Burke, New Boston Huron soccer: Recorded a trio of shutouts in goal as Huron remained undefeated.
Addison Butt, Gibraltar Carlson softball: Went 3-for-4 with a double and a grand slam and pitched two scoreless innings against Garden City.
RaeAnn Drummond, Airport softball: Went 4-for-4 with three home runs in a win over Flat Rock then had three more hits, including a double Saturday, to set the school record for career extra-base hits with 54.
Matt Foor, Airport boys track and field: Swept the weight throws at the Gibraltar Carlson Marauder Invitational; also had two wins in a dual-meet win over SMCC.
Camryn Gee, SMCC softball: Doubled 3 times, drove in 6 runs and went 4-for-4 in a win over Riverview. She was 6-of-7 for the week with 7 RBI.
Jay Hickey, Dundee baseball: Broke a 5-5 tie with an RBI single in the seventh inning against Grass Lake. It was his second hit of the day.
Reagan Higdon, Flat Rock girls track and field: Won the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the Gibraltar Carlson Marauder Invitational.
James Feudi, Summerfield golf: Shot 41 to earn medalist honors at the first Tri-County Conference jamboree of the season.
Adam Johnson, Milan boys track and field: Won 200 meters and helped the Big Reds set a school record in the 400-meter relay at the Gibraltar Carlson Marauder Invitational.
Jaxon Millican, Ida baseball: Pitched a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts against Dundee.
Jack Mills, Airport baseball: Rang up four hits, two home runs and nine RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Belleville.
Unity Nelson, Whiteford softball: Combined with Megan Butz on no-hitter against Morenci, allowed just one hit and struck out 10 in a 1-0 shutout of Milan.
Emma Sic, New Boston Huron softball: Blasted three home runs and drove in five runs in a win over SMCC.
Asher Simmons, Monroe baseball: Collected three hits, including a grand slam, to lead the Trojans to a win over Bedford.
Beth Sweeney, Erie Mason girls track and field: Took first in both hurdles races and the high jump and ran a leg on a second-place relay in the Sand Creek Invitational; swept the hurdles in a meet against Whiteford and Summerfield.
Layla Tahmouch, Jefferson girls track and field: Won both throws in a dual-meet win over New Boston Huron, then was first in the discus at 116-11 during the Throw Down in Trojan Town Saturday.
Brady Weirich, Bedford lacrosse: Netted 9 goals and 4 assists as the Mules won all three of their games.
