According to Marvel, there's going to be 6 episodes, about 45-60 minutes each, that will follow Loki as he tries to take down He Who Remians and uncovers the truth of the TVA and the rest of the universe.

How will this link with the rest of the MCU?
Here's your big warning that we're getting into some major spoiler territory, but basically, He Who Remains is one version of Kang the Conqueror AKA the big bad of Phases 5 and 6 of Marvel. It's clear that he wants control over all the timelines and things have gotten worse as they continue to split, causing time to become unstable. If any timeline is to survive, they're going to have to find a way to balance it out and also stop He Who Remains from taking anything else over. So basically, just another day in this superhero universe.
