Every 2024 MetroWest and Milford winter state champ in swimming, track and wrestling
Nothing beats raising a trophy or donning a medal declaring you the best in the state.
MetroWest and Milford athletes have added a plethora of titles to stuff their school's trophy cases.
From the track to the pool and even the snow, here's everyone who has won a state championship from MetroWest and Milford so far this winter (this list will be updated):
INDIVIDUALS
AIDAN BAUM, Milford boys wrestling
The junior earned his first Division 2 state title with a 7-1 victory over Silver Lake's Justin Vincenti at 144 pounds. He was second a season ago.

MICHAEL BOULANGER, Milford boys wrestling
The junior repeated as the Division 2 state champion after he pinned Middleborough's Matthew Patterson in 3 minutes, 36 seconds to win the 138-pound title.
CHRISTOPHER BROOKS, Wellesley boys indoor track & field
He sprinted to a Division 2 55-meter championship in 6.4 seconds Friday.
ANNIE COMELLA, Wellesley girls indoor track & field
She crossed the line first in the 55-meter dash Friday to win the Division 2 title in 7.19 seconds.
AVERIE DENNELLE, Tri-County indoor girls track & field
The senior captured the Division 5 girls high jump championship when she cleared 5 feet, 2 inches at the Reggie Lewis Events Center on Wednesday.

ADRIANA DEGROAT, Framingham girls wrestling
The freshman claimed the Division 1 state title at 120 pounds by pinning Malden/Everett's Katelynn Vo in 1:06 on Saturday.
ABBY DESMARAIS, Framingham girls indoor track and field
The Holy Cross-bound senior topped the podium twice at the Division 1 state championships Thursday. Desmarais crossed the line first in the 55-meter dash in 7.03 seconds, the quickest time in Massachusetts this year and No. 30 nationally. She also set the state's top time in 300 (39.61 seconds) in winning her second gold of the evening.
MADISON DOWD, Tri-County girls wrestling
It only took her 32 seconds to pin Boston Latin's Anjue Liang and secure teh 132-pound title in Division 2 on Saturday.
SARAH DUMAS, Franklin girls indoor track & field
The Penn-bound senior captured two medals at the Division 1 state championships Thursday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Dumas took first in the girls 55-meter hurdles in 8.44 seconds. She also leapt over 5 feet, 2 inches to place fourth in the high jump.
LANDRY FITZGERALD, Bellingham boy wrestling
The heavyweight pinned his way to a Division 2 championship, taking down Plymouth South's Brendan Nunley with 15 seconds remaining in the first period Saturday.

ADRIAN GUZMAN, Ashland boys wrestling
He took down Nathan Hicks for the Division 3 title at 157 pounds with a third-period pin Saturday.
ARYAMAN JAIN, Westborough boys swimming
He sprinted to the Division 1 50-yard freestyle gold medal in 21.69 seconds Sunday at MIT.
OLIVIA LABELLE, Algonquin girls track and field
She set the state's top mark in the 55-meter hurdles in winning the Division 2 championship Friday in 8.39 seconds.
SASHA LAMAKINA, Framingham girls indoor track and field
She won the Division 1 600-meter run title in 1 minute, 36.53 seconds Thursday.
KAUA LIMA, Hollisotn boys indoor track & field
He cleared 6 feet, 2 inches Sunday to win the Division 4 high jump title.
CARMEN LUISI, Holliston girls indoor track & field
The multiple-time cross country state champion added two Division 4 crowns Sunday. She won the 1,000-meter run in 2:58.24 and the mile in 5:02.68.
DEREK MARCOLINI, Milford boys wrestling
He bested Whitman-Hanson's PJ Katz 9-1 to win the Division 2 championship at 113 pounds.

LUCA MARSHALL, Tri-County girls wrestling
She pinned Salem's Sophia Fritz 24 seconds into the second period to win the Division 2 championship at 126 pounds.
OWEN MENENDEZ, Marlborough boys wrestling
He claimed the Division 3 title at 138 pounds with a second-period pin against Pathfinder's William Burke.
ANGIE NOMMI, Ashland girls wrestling
She pinned Pathfinder's Makayla Patrick in 31 seconds to win the 145-pound championship in Division 3. Nommi joined the Clockers wrestling program this season.
NORA QUITT, Ashland
The defending All-State champion added a Division 3 trophy to her case. She pined her teammate Carly Larson in 27 seconds for the 138-pound crown on Saturday. Quitt spent 1:06 total on the mat between the semifinals and finals, earning two pins in less than 40 seconds each. That earned her the meet's "Outstanding Wrestler" honor.

GABRIELLE PIERRE, Lincoln-Sudbury girls indoor track and field
The junior set the top long jump mark in Massachusetts this year, clearing 19 feet, 2.25 inches to win the Division 1 state title Thursday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. It's the 19th-best jump in the U.S. this year.

ANTON PUHACH, Ashland boys wrestling
He pinned Scituate's Paul Cheverie in 3 minutes, 17 seconds to win the Division 3 championship 1t 175 pounds Saturday. Puhach was third a season ago.
EMILY RICHARDSON, Framingham girls indoor track & field
She captured the Division 1 girls shot put championship with a toss of 39 feet, 0.5 inches Thursday.
ALEXANDRIA TAYLOR, Lincoln-Sudbury girls nordic skiing
The sophomore captured the girls individual state championship Wednesday at Prospect Mountain in Vermont. She completed the seven-kilometer course in 21:47, 53 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The Warriors finished fifth as a team.
CHARLOTTE TUXBURY, Wellesley girls indoor track & field
The juniorbeat out a tight to three to win the Division 2 girls mile championship in 5:00.44 on Friday.

STEPHEN WHITE, Algonquin boys indoor track & field
He claimed two Division 2 distance titles Friday. finished out front of the boys mile field to win in 4:24.63. White was also first in the two-mile (9:43.82).

TEAMS
ALGONQUIN BOYS 4x800 RELAY
Joseph Lamburn, Jonah Gould, Matthew Zhang and Aiden Ruiz held on for a Division 2 championship Friday in 8:14.9.
ALGONQUIN GIRLS 4x200 RELAY
Arianna Gentile, Olivia LaBelle, Audrey Helwig and Mackenzie Clark took the Division 2 gold medal in 1:45.6, a second clear of second-place Concord-Carlisle.
ASHLAND GIRLS WRESTLING
The Clockers put five wrestlers on the podium and were the only program to win two individual titles en route to securing the program's first state championship in its first year of existence. Ashland scored61 points, and second-place South Shore had 42.
HOLLISTON GIRLS INDOOR TEACK & FIELD
The Panthers scored 69 points on Sunday to win the Division 4 team championship for the second time.

LINCOLN-SUDBURY BOYS 400-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY
The Warriors team of Grant Jackson, Elijah Dimov, Graham Skelly and Thomas Eppich out-touched Westford Academy to claim the Division 1 state championship in 3 minutes, 16.29 seconds Sunday. They were 0.43 seconds ahead of the ghosts to close the meet. L-S placed third in the team standings.
TRI-COUNTY GIRLS WRESTLING
Buoyed by two individual champions, the Cougars scored 61 points at Algonquin on Saturday to claim the program's first championship.
WAYLAND GIRLS 200-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY
The Warriors foursome of Catherine Newark, Adah Shulman, Arpi Abrahamian and Paulina Ilyin topped the Division 2 podium in 1:41.5 seconds. They barely edged top-seeded Duxbury by .14 seconds.

WELLESLEY GIRLS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
The Raiders scored 80 points to claim their seventh straight Division 2 state championship Friday. They won two relays and two individual events to dominate the field. The second-place team scored 58.5 points.

WELLESLEY GIRLS 4x400
Delaney Dyer, Ava O'Grady, Emma Tuxbury and Kayla Bohlin each took their lap around the track and ended up with a Division 2 state championship Friday in 4:05.53.
WELLESLEY GIRLS 4x800
Delaney Dyer, Emma Tuxbury, Kayla Bohlin and Charlotte Tuxbury ran away from the rest of the Division 2 field to win gold in 9:45.41 on Friday. No one else was under 10 minutes/
