Breakfast with Santa

Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority's Zeta Zeta Omega chapter and the Pearls of Distinction Foundation will host a Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Bring the kids for food, crafts, games, toys and a chance to speak with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and wear your favorite pajamas!

Hot chocolate party

The Doubletree by Hiltonhotel will host a Hot Chocolate Party series beginning on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4-6:30 p.m. inside the Stone City Grill. Enjoy a hot chocolate bar with eleven toppings including whipped cream, chocolate chips and peppermint bits; and a choice of two mini desserts from a list of macarons, brownies, eclairs and more. Tickets are $25 for a party of four. Extra people are $6 per person. While there, take advantage of the holiday selfie station. Future Hot Chocolate Party dates are on Sunday, Dec. 10, and Monday, Dec. 18.

Christmas at Germania

The Evansville Germania Maennerchor will be hosting Christmas at Germania on Friday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 2, from 7-9 p.m. (arrival is between 6 and 6:30 p.m.) Tickets are $30. Enjoy Christmas choral music, an original pageant and a dinner of a pork chop, potatoes, red cabbage, green beans and a roll. Brewery launches Merry & Bright pop up series

The Haynie's Corner Brewing Co. is bringing back its annual Merry & Bright series, beginning on Monday, Nov. 27, from 5-10 p.m. Each Monday for four weeks, themed taproom decor will be changed and a special guest bartender will be serving a one-time specialty cocktail menu. On Nov. 27, Scott Schymik, owner and chef of Sauced and Schymik's Kitchen, will be serving drinks in a winter wonderland.

Make-A-Wish giveback

High Score Saloon, bar and arcade will be hosting a charity night for the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 5-9 p.m. The $5 cover and all coins will be donated to Make A Wish. While there, enjoy a meal of loaded tots, gourmet nachos or a sandwich accompanied by a craft beer.

New pizza place on Diamond

K's Pizza is now open on Diamond Avenue in the former Charlie's Mongolian Grill building. Pizzas are build-your-own, or choose a specialty pizza from a list including taco, meats, Hawaiian, and others. Also on the menu are calzones, wings, strombolis, Philly-style sandwiches and more.
