Euphoria's Hunter Schafer responds to fan casting for Zelda movie
Euphoria star Hunter Schafer has responded to a fan casting request for her to play Princess Zelda in a future live-action movie.
The actress, who is currently promoting her role in the new Hunger Games prequel The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes, was asked if she would consider playing Zelda in a movie based on the Nintendo action-adventure game franchise.
"I mean yes that would be cool," she told Entertainment Tonight. "Like an elf? Yeah."

The Euphoria star went on to reveal she was a fan of the The Legend of Zelda game when growing up.
"I mean I played that video game a bunch of times when I was a a kid," she said. "That's such a good game. Wow."
A fan call for Shafer to play Princess Zelda went viral on Twitter in March 2022, with it receiving 464,000 likes. "if Nintendo ever needs a princess Zelda, she can do the job," tweeted @Skyferrori, sharing a photo of Schafer posing at Vanity Fair's annual Oscars party last year.

Earlier this week, Nintendo game developer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed a 'Legend of Zelda' live-action film is very much in the works.
"This is Miyamoto. I have been working on the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit films," he wrote on Nintendo’s official Twitter account.
"I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production," he added.

"It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it."
Co-producer Avi Arad is no stranger to bringing video games and superheroes to the big screen, with previous film credits including the live-action Spider-Man movies and the additional Spider-Verse animated films.
Meanwhile, Miyamoto himself was a producer on 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Wes Ball of Maze Runner film trilogy fame has signed on to direct with with Jurassic World screenwriter Derek Connolly penning the script.
No casting details for the Legend of Zelda movie have been shared at this time.
