Euphoria star's new Elvis movie gets confirmed UK release date
Sofia Coppola's upcoming Priscilla movie has landed a confirmed UK release date.
Starring Euphoria's Jacob Elordi and Mare of Easttown's Cailee Spaeny as Elvis and Priscilla Presley, the movie will open in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday, December 26 with special 35mm preview screenings. It will get a general release on Monday, January 1, 2024.
It was previously confirmed that the film has secured a deal with global distributor MUBI, which is overseeing Priscilla's release in the UK and several other countries.

While an international release date is yet to be confirmed, the film is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival before landing in US cinemas this October.

Inspired by Priscilla Presley's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, the film will recount the troubled love story between Priscilla and the rock-and-roll superstar.
A stylish teaser trailer has also given fans their first glimpse of the film, recreating Priscilla's first meeting with Elvis at a party in 1959 while he was stationed with the US Military in Germany. She was 14 at the time, while Elvis was 24 years old.
As well as depicting the couple's love story, the film is also said to show a different side to Elvis beyond his public persona and recount Priscilla's recollection of their relationship after his death.

Dagmara Domińczyk, Raine Monroe Boland, Emily Mitchell, Jorja Cadence, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll and Luke Humphrey will also feature in the film.
Alongside directing, Coppola has written the screenplay for Priscilla as well as producing with Youree Henley and Lorenzo Mieli.
Priscilla is set to be released on October 27 in the US and opens with preview screenings from December 26 in the UK, ahead of a wider release on January 1, 2024.
