When Euphoria aired its Season 2 finale in February, the episode’s final moments found Rue Bennett and her friends in a good place. Well, as good a place as you can be after a soul-crushing drug relapse, the death of a little brother and the arrest of one seriously messed-up dad.

Still, Rue was sober, Cal was in police custody, and we… were left with nothing to do but wait until the HBO drama returns for Season 3. So we decided to make like Maddie poking around in Samantha’s closet while babysitting, aka we used our down time for some creative fun.

Below, we’ve composed a list of 10 things we’d like to see happen in Euphoria‘s upcoming third season (which, as of right now, does not have a premiere date). Some of the entries involve characters we didn’t see enough of in Season 2. Some have to do with relationships we’d like to see repaired in the near future. At least one is just plain nosy. (C’mon, tell us you don’t want to see karma kick Cal where it hurts.)

And we know that you’ve likely got a wishlist for Season 3, too. So after you’ve run through our ideas below, make sure to hit the comments with what you’d like to see happen in Euphoria‘s next season!

AND A LOT MORE KAT

Whatever the reason, Barbie Ferreira’s character didn’t do much last season aside from break up with Ethan, get puked on by Cassie and have an epic mental trip about the body-positivity movement. How’s her cam business going? Who’ll be her next love interest? Is she OK? We’d like answers to all of these questions (and more).

THE ‘RULES’ CONVERSATION WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR

When Rue visited Elliot at the end of Season 2, she told him she hadn’t had talked with Jules since the day they told her mother she was using again. Surely it’s time for the two more-than-friends to have that brutally honest, probably tearful conversation, right?

AND MORE GIA!

AND MORE GIA!
AND MORE GIA!

Most of the scenes involving Rue’s little sister, played by Storm Reid, have been fraught with sadness, disappointment and hurt feelings. We’d love to witness the Bennett sisters have a few lighter moments here and there, too.

MORE ALI

We enjoyed watching Rue’s sponsor interact with her family (even when it got a little murky ’cause he kinda lied to her mom about her sobriety), and we always love seeing Colman Domingo and Zendaya in scenes together. So more of all of that, please, in the upcoming season!

THE AFTERMATH OF CAL’S ARREST

What happened after Nate turned his abusive father in to the police, and handed over evidence of Cal’s sexual predilection for minors? Inquiring minds want to know!

ANOTHER LEXI MASTERPIECE

Lexi’s autobiographical school play seemed to go on for seven hours and have the scenery budget of a lavish Broadway musical. But it was also a gold lamé wrapped, chaotic good time. We’d gladly suspend belief again to see what else Maude Apatow’s character can cook up for the high school auditorium’s stage.

FEZCO, HOWEVER WE CAN GET HIM

Sure, Angus Cloud’s character is likely to be in police custody after that fatal shootout at his place last season. But let’s hope that doesn’t preclude Fez from interacting with the rest of the cast — jailhouse visits? phone calls? — particularly with Lexi, with whom he never really got started romantically, last season.

RUE’S HARD-WON SUCCESS

We’re very aware that Rue’s heartbreaking struggle with addiction is one of Euphoria‘s driving storylines, and relapse is a common and crushing occurrence on the road to sobriety. But there’s only so much agony that she — and we! — can take. At the end of Season 2, she voiceovered that she’d stayed clean for the rest of the school year; we fervently hope that can continue into coming episodes. “I don’t know if this feeling will last forever,” she said, “but I’m trying.”

CASSIE, ON HER OWN TERMS

Cassie tried to be Maddie, but we all know how that turned out. Now that Nate has dumped her, and her sister has aired their family’s troubled past for the whole school to see, wouldn’t it be great if Sydney Sweeney’s character quit caring what everyone thought about her and just… did whatever she wanted?

CONSEQUENCES FOR RUE

Remember Laurie, the terrifyingly chill drug supplier who fronted Rue a suitcase full of product with the expectation that the teen would sell it all? And then she ingested some and lost the rest when her mom realized she’d relapsed? We’d like to see the fallout from this ill-advised business venture.
