Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles Give Honest Opinion of Taylor Swift After Music Video Cameos

Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles are getting candid about what it was like to work with Taylor Swift.

Hawke and Charles made a joint guest appearance in Swift's new music video for the lead single "Fortnight," off her brand new album The Tortured Poets Department, marking a very fitting opportunity for the two actors who both starred in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society.

The "Fortnight" music video—starring Swift and Post Malone, who is featured on the track—premiered Friday, April 19, with both Hawke and Charles taking to their respective social media pages to share their experience of working with the "Anti-Hero" songstress.

Charles, 52, shared a black and white still photo from the video to Instagram on Friday, writing in the caption, "I've admired Taylor for a long time, but meeting her in person took my fandom to a whole new level."

He went on to call the music superstar—who also directed the music video—"genuine, kind, approachable, and just an all around stellar human being."

"Not to mention a kick a-- director to boot!," he added while concluding with the hashtag, "#TSTTPD."

Hawke, 53, shared a similar sentiment on his Instagram page, uploading several photos, including one shot of him posing with Charles, Swift, 34, and Malone, 28, on the music video set.

He also included a throwback still shot from Dead Poets Society, in which he and Charles starred as Todd Anderson and Knox Overstreet, respectively.

"'Todd & 'Knox' from DEAD POETS SOCIETY are now PhDs in THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT," Hawke captioned Friday's post. "It's quite an honor."

"Thank you @taylorswift for the opportunity to be in the music video for your song FORTNIGHT feat. @postmalone," he added, before concluding, "carpe diem!"
