Ethan Coen film set to begin shooting in Albuquerque

Mar. 11—A movie directed by a Coen brother and featuring Hollywood stars Chris Evans, Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza will begin filming in Albuquerque soon.

The feature film Honey Don't! is set to employ 15 principal actors, 450 background actors and 150 crew members, according to a news release from the New Mexico Film Office. Filming of the movie will go through May.

The film is directed by Ethan Coen and is produced by himself, Tricia Cooke, Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan and Robert Graf.

Coen is not new to filming in New Mexico, having shot the movies No Country for Old Men, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Burn After Reading in the state.

Honey Don't! will follow the three actors' characters telling the story of a detective's investigation into the death of a young woman and its connection to a "mysterious church," the film office said in the news release.

"New Mexico holds a special place with the producers, and we're ecstatic to film our fifth feature here," Graf said in a statement.
