ESPN sideline reporter Kris Budden spoke during the Cincinnati Bearcats' Big 12 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse about how UC head coach Wes Miller has handled not having his full complement of players while facing one ranked opponent after the next, including the hamstring injury currently keeping guard and former CovCath High School standout CJ Fredrick out of action.

Analyst Jay Bilas discussed what Fredrick brings to the Bearcats, when healthy.

"CJ Fredrick would probably be Cincinnati's best shooter," Bilas said. "Right now, without him, it's Simas Lukosius. But he would clearly be their best post passer. And CJ Fredrick started his career at Iowa. He's a Cincinnati kid. Went to Iowa, and then he was at Kentucky. And he can really pass the ball and rarely turns it over."

Fredrick last played in a December 22 win against Stetson. He scored a season-high 19 in a win earlier that month against FGCU.
