ESPN on Tuesday aired the “My Wish” segment featuring Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes meeting 12-year-old Myka Eilers, and it’s really a sweet video.

Myka was born with pulmonary valve stenosis and had a pair of open-heart surgeries before her first birthday. ESPN said she faces the prospect of more surgeries.

But for now, Myka is healthy and happy, playing quarterback on her flag football team. And she’s a Chiefs fan whose wish was to meet Mahomes.

“He’s like my favorite player on the Chiefs, and I want to become a quarterback in the NFL,” Myka, who lives in of Yorba Linda, California, said in the video.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation worked with ESPN to make it happen, and she learned of her planned meeting with Mahomes in Kansas City thanks to KC Wolf, the Chiefs’ mascot.

The Chiefs rolled out the red carpet as Myka got to see the Chiefs’ locker room where she found a personalized jersey. Then she met Mahomes, coach Andy Reid and tight end Travis Kelce in the team’s practice facility.

Myka next got to throw a pass to Kelce as Mahomes played defensive back. And she sat in on Mahomes’ film study, which included his game-winning touchdown pass to Kelce in the epic playoff victory against the Bills.

This is a sweet and fun video.
