ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky Has Telling Admission On Bryce Young

ESPN analyst and former quarterback Dan Orlovsky is high on Bryce Young’s NFL prospects.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Get Up,” Orlovsky told the rest of the morning show crew that the Alabama QB reminds him a lot of Aaron Rodgers.

“Bryce Young reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers,” said Orlovsky. “He will be the number one pick in the draft in two years, but he would be one this year.”

The sophomore signal-caller has been sensational for Nick Saban’s team all year. After a masterful performance against No. 1 Georgia in the SEC championship game, Young finds himself as the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman.

In 13 games, Young has thrown for 4,322 yards and 43 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions. And although he hasn’t shown himself to be much of a scrambler, he’s made plays with his legs when needed.

Seemingly the only doubts surrounding Bryce Young’s NFL future is his size. While there are some 6-foot QB’s at the next level, players like Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray have a thicker build.

At 194-pounds, Young has a very slender build. For comparison’s sake, Russell Wilson is a stocky 5-foot-11, 215. While Young can certainly add some weight to his frame, it looks like he won’t be able to bulk up much further than 200-pounds.

That said, Young has shown great poise and playmaking ability in his first year as a starter. It looks like the Pasadena-born QB has an incredible ability to process information quickly and distribute the ball accordingly.

It’s no shock that many believe he could be an NFL team’s next franchise quarterback.
