ESPN Analyst Thinks The Packers Should Sign 1 Free Agent WR
By the end of the first round of last night’s NFL draft, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers hoped to have a brand new wide receiver weapon in their arsenal. But by the time the selection process got to the team’s No. 28 overall pick, all of the top wide receiver options had already come off the board.
As a result, it appears the Packers are going to have to dip into the trade/free agency market to land new wideout talent this offseason.
On Friday, ESPN NFL insider Matt Miller suggested that the Packers pick up free-agent wide receiver Cole Beasley.

To be fair, it seems as though Miller was making a joke about the shared COVID-19 vaccination status of Rodgers and Beasley — both of whom received heavy criticism for their anti-vaccine language in 2021.
If Miller was serious, this fit doesn’t exactly make sense for the Green Bay franchise. The Packers already have several options in the slot, so their need is more on the perimeter.
Beasley, 33, logged a career-high 82 receptions for 693 yards and one touchdown for the Buffalo Bills in 2021.
