Erie Sports Center included among national ranking of soccer and lacrosse facilities

A nationally ranked soccer and lacrosse facility in northwestern Pennsylvania?

That’s exactly what you’ll find at Erie Sports Center, according to one list.

SportsEvents Media Group recently ranked the center in Summit Township as the No. 5 soccer and lacrosse facility in the United States. It was the only included facility located in the northeast region.

“We are happy that the Erie Sports Center is getting recognized nationally for the work we have put in,” said owner Troy Bingham. “We are still focused on building out a world class facility and sports development programs that will make us a leader nationally and internationally.”

How was the list formed?

The company, with a self-described mission of, “to help planners of amateur sporting events and competitions be more effective, informed and successful with their events,” then prints its Top 10 list each year in an edition of SportsEvents magazine.

“We are one of the most unique multi-sport facilities in the country and, with further investment, we will be a leading facility for many sports for academies, leagues, camps and tournaments,” Bingham said.
