Erie guitar player, 7, gathers 40 million views in 48 hours playing Metallica's 'One.'

So you think you had a good weekend? Coen Krysiak, 7, probably has you beat.

The tiny guitar player, son of School of Rock's Ryan Krysiak, made a video of himself and his dad playing a few bars of the Metallica's hit "One," He posted it on his accounts at instagram.com/coenkrysiak/ and tiktok.com/@coenkrysiak feeds Friday (and in 48 hours, the video had been seen by more than 40 million people.

"I've been doing social media stuff for several years and I've never seen anything that has got that many views in that short amount of time," Ryan Krysiak said. "I think it was the combination of the right song and the fact that Metallica has a gigantic tour going right now and they're the biggest band in the world."

He said Coen started messing around with drums at about 18 months old and by 4 years old was making videos of himself and his guitar.

"He started putting a guitar on, and standing in front of a microphone, and pretend to be a singer in a band," Ryan Krysiak said.

He said Cohen learns songs just by listening to them.

"He has perfect pitch," Ryan Krysiak said. "He can hear the notes and know how to play them on his own. He'll even tell me that I'm playing the wrong ones. He can hear the notes better than I can. I just show him technique and stuff like how to play faster, smoother. We play for like 15 minutes a day before he gets on the bus."

Not to be outdone, Coen's 9-year-old sister, Quinn Krysiak can play bass. The recent video is drawing more attention to a video of both of them both playing Guns n Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine."

"His whole channel is gathering a lot of attention."

He said Coen doesn't play for hours a day or anything, really just 15 minutes every morning before he meets the school bus. They post a couple of videos a week.

Ryan Krysiak, who also plays bass for Erie cover band First to Eleven, said YouTube is more of a place for longer-form videos, and Coen, as young as he is, just focuses on pieces of songs.

"To learn an entire song start to finish, on a regular basis would be a lot," Ryan Krysiak said, adding that that's what he thinks is driving Coen's popularity on the shorter-formed TikTok and Instagram platforms.

What did Coen think of his sudden burst of fame?

"He's been distracted because we were on our way to Disneyland," Ryan Krysiak said. "I was telling him as the hits came in, 6, 7, 8 million, but I think he's sick of me telling him now. He's just hanging out having fun."
