Zach Braff and Donald Faison win 'Celebrity Family Feud' despite hilariously horrible answers

Zach Braff and Donald Faison, best friends and former stars of the hit sitcom Scrubs, appeared Sunday on Celebrity Family Feud, facing off against their onscreen nemesis, Neil Flynn, who played the janitor on the hospital comedy. Even though the duo ultimately won $25,000 for the organization Stop AAPI Hate, Faison had a bit of a rough time with the lightning round. Braff went first, racking up 141 of the necessary 200 points to win.

Giving answers for the clue, “If the animals tried to break out of the zoo, tell me which one would help them get over the fence.” Braff answered, “Giraffe.” Faison, on the other hand, came up with, “Alligator.” That response tripped up host Steve Harvey as he began to read the next clue.

Following Faison’s round, Braff and Harvey shared their thoughts on Faison’s performance, with Braff at one point doing the opposite of the normal, encouraging “good answer” contestants get from their teammates even if it’s nothing even resembling a good answer. Instead, Braff said, “Bad answer, bad answer.”

Faison had a defense for his answer, albeit a nonsensical, but funny one. Before showing it to be true, Harvey told Faison he was going to get a zero on that one. But that wasn’t Faison’s only slip-up.

Asked to name a city with a lot of rich people living in it, Braff answered New York, which Faison echoed when it was his turn. Having to give a different answer, Faison said, “California,” before quickly changing it to "Los Angeles," which was the number one answer, and put them over the 200 point threshold, thanks to a little charity from Harvey and the show.

“You said California…” Harvey said before Faison interrupted with, “No, I said Los Angeles!” “I know, I know, I know, I know,” Harvey replied. “We’re gonna let it go, though, I’m sure of that.”

Celebrity Family Feud airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
