Vanessa Hudgens Reveals Pregnancy on Oscars Red Carpet
Vanessa Hudgens hit the Oscars red carpet Sunday with a major reveal: She’s pregnant!
The High School Musical star announced that she’s going to be a first-time mom ahead of ABC’s official red carpet show Countdown to the Oscars, which she’s co-hosting alongside Julianne Hough starting at 6:30/5:30c.

When the show kicked off, she immediately acknowledged her baby bump. “I’m your host, Vanessa Hudgens, and I clearly have a lot to be excited for,” she said while smiling and turning sideways.
The actress donned a sleek long-sleeved black dress. She accented the look with a necklace, rings and earrings all adorned with sparkling diamonds.
This will be Hudgens and baseball player husband Cole Tucker’s first child together. The couple married in December in Mexico after almost three years of dating.
Just Wednesday, Hudgens responded to pregnancy speculation that’s been circling since October. “I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,” she said on the She Pivots podcast. “I went out on my bachelorette party in October and I posted video of me, and there are all these comments that are like, ‘Oh my god, you’re pregnant.'”
After calling the public’s comments “so rude,” she added: “I’m sorry I don’t wear Spanx every day and am a real woman and have a real body.”
Sunday’s 2024 Oscars ceremony begins one hour earlier this year at 7/6c on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel returns to host, marking his fourth time emceeing the event. (View a full list of the night’s nominees here.)
