Rob Lowe Hosting and Producing New Fox Game Show The Floor — Get First Look and Premiere Date

In Fox’s forthcoming game show, 81 contestants will battle it out to win a grand prize of a whopping $250,000. But who will be able to conquer The Floor?

Hosted and produced by Rob Lowe (9-1-1: Lone Star), The Floor (which premieres Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 9/8c) will pit players against each other in an ultimate trivia competition. Each player will have his or her own unique category and when selected by the randomizer, must choose another competitor to duel. The winner of the 1-on-1 trivia battle will take over his or her opponent’s portion of the floor, while the loser goes home empty-handed. Whichever smarty conquers the entire floor will win all of money and the bragging rights that goes with it. (Watch the video embedded above to get your first look at the upcoming series.)

The Floor is produced by Eureka Productions, Talpa and BiggerStage. John de Mol (Big Brother, The Voice), Mark van Achterberg, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Eden Gaha, Wes Dening, Sean O’Riordan and Shane Byrne serve as executive producers, with Anthony Carbone (Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?) on board as showrunner.
