Strahan has yet to return to his duties at Good Morning America after PEOPLE confirmed last week that he was taking a brief break from the show for private reasons.

"Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” an ABC spokesperson said in a statement at the time. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”

Menefee also noted during last week’s Fox NFL Sunday that Strahan was not part of the show because he is “dealing with a personal family matter,” per the Los Angeles Times.

PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for GMA.

The former professional football player joined the morning news show full time in 2016 after exiting Live with Kelly and Michael.

Strahan also has not posted on social media since Oct. 25 when he promoted The $100,000 Pyramid.
