Jimmy Kimmel Slams Aaron Rodgers for ‘Reckless’ Jeffrey Epstein Accusations, Threatens to Sue

It’s safe to say that Aaron Rodgers won’t be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show anytime soon.

Kimmel fired back at Rodgers after the New York Jets quarterback implied on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday that Kimmel’s name may be found on a list of associates of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“For the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein,” Kimmel stated on social media, “nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Rodgers brought up Kimmel’s name in association with Epstein during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, with hundreds of documents related to Epstein’s crimes set to be unsealed by a federal judge. “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that [list] doesn’t come out,” Rodgers said, later adding: “If that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.” (Rodgers’ beef with Kimmel dates back to last March, when Kimmel mocked the quarterback for bringing up the Epstein list and UFOs, calling him a “tin-foil hatter.”)

The ugly feud is also an awkward one for parent company Disney, since it owns both ABC, which airs Kimmel’s late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and ESPN, which aired Rodgers’ comments on Tuesday. (ESPN declined to comment when reached by TVLine.)

McAfee, meanwhile, addressed the dust-up on his program Wednesday morning.

“We obviously don’t like the to be associated with anything negative ever,” the host admitted. “We’d like our show to be an uplifting one a happy one a fun one.

“Some things obviously people get very pissed off about, especially when they’re that serious allegations,” he added. “So we apologize for being a part of it. I can’t wait to hear what Aaron has to say about it. Hopefully those two will just be able to settle this… and move along.”
