Jamie Lee Curtis calls out 'blatant' FIJI Water's Golden Globes promo: 'I specifically moved away'

There's at least one celebrity who saw through FIJI Water's "blatant" Golden Globes ad campaign.

Jamie Lee Curtis was not pleased to see that photographers captured her with the now-infamous "FIJI Water Girl" in the background, tweeting Tuesday that she "specifically moved away" to avoid doing free advertising for the brand.

"So, I specifically moved away from the blatant Fiji & Moet promotions," Lee said, also referring to Moet & Chandon champagne, which was handed out to stars on the red carpet. "I knew there was a photographer poised & I moved as I didn't want to be doing advertising for either."

However, photogs standing at a different angle were still able to sneak the model into the background.

"The sponsors of events need to get permission from people before they try to take their picture with them," Curtis wrote.

Fans were quick to commend her for being vocal, with many agreeing that they found the viral campaign irritating.

"It was tacky, and it was poorly crafted," one fan wrote. "The Golden Globes should have known better."

Curtis was just one of several stars snapped with "FIJI Water Girl" in the background, although it's unclear if the other celebrities did or didn't realize who was behind them.
