FILLIP HORD: Welcome back to "In the Know-- Uncluttered." I'm Fillip.

JAMIE HORD: And I'm Jamie. And today, we're going to show you how to set up a filing system. Let's talk about what products you need to create a filing system. So the first thing is a hanging file. And this is going to hold your large category. Within that large category, you're going to have a file folder or multiple file folders inside.

And then another product you're going to need to organize your files is a file box. So we set up an example here of some broad categories and some subcategories inside. For example, your large category might be House. So if you ever need an archive file regarding your House, you can pull the entire hanging file folder out and you have all your files of your house inside, organized.

We like to keep all of the large category labels in the same position all down the middle. And then when it comes to the file folders within, we do like to keep these single tab.

FILLIP HORD: So the one important tool to organizing your files would be a label maker. This is Brother P-touch Cubed plus. It connects to your phone. And you can kind of just do it through the application that they have. And then they print out and cut themselves. It makes things a lot easier.

JAMIE HORD: So there you have it. We hope these tips and tricks were helpful. I'm Jamie.

FILLIP HORD: And I'm Fillip. And this is "In the Know-- Uncluttered." We'll see you next time.
