Megyn Kelly on Mika Brzezinski's 'butt-boy' comments: 'I hope she's forgiven'

Former NBC News host Megyn Kelly is speaking out about MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.

Following Mika’s butt-boy comments on "Morning Joe" about Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Kelly, in a video that the DailyMail got their hands on, said, “I heard she apologized. I didn’t see the apology. I hope she’s forgiven.”

Brzezinski and the "Morning Joe" panel were discussing the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi when she made the controversial remark.

“Why doesn’t Mike Pompeo care right now? Are the pathetic deflections that we just heard when he appeared on ‘Fox & Friends,’ is that a patriot speaking, or a wannabe dictator’s butt-boy? I’m dead serious," she said. "I’m asking, are these the words of a patriot?”

Mika apologized for the comment, calling it a poor choice of words.

Kelly's reaction comes after she was fired from NBC in October over her controversial comments about wearing blackface during Halloween.

Meanwhile, President Trump spoke out against Mika on Twitter, writing, “If it was a Conservative that said what ‘crazed’ Mika Brzezinski stated on her show yesterday, using a certain horrible term, that person would be banned permanently from television. She will probably be given a pass, despite their terrible ratings.”
