Janet Jackson is a new mom.
Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child, a son, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
"Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," a rep for the celebrity announced. "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."
The 50-year-old singer was first spotted with a growing baby bump in May and postponed her Unbreakable World Tour so she and her husband could focus on family.
In a video announcement she said, "My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour."
The "Rhythm Nation" singer married Al Mana, a Qatari businessman, in 2012. The two remain largely private about their life, sans the family announcement they made.
Congratulations to the happy couple.
