Cruz Beckham, 11, releases debut single, 'If Every Day Was Christmas'
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham's 11-year-old son, Cruz, has released his debut single, "If Every Day Was Christmas," with proceeds going to a youth charity in the UK, Make Some Noise. The budding pop star has also signed with Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun, who was quick to defend his tween charge when a British radio host took a shot at the Beckham's for putting their son in the spotlight. Cruz Beckham began teasing the song on his Instagram account earlier this week (it is available now on iTunes), before it debuted on British radio on Wednesday morning (Dec. 7).
During the Capital FM appearance to announce the single, Cruz told listeners the song brings together his two favorite things: "singing and Christmas... and it's amazing to put those together and the money is going to charity," he said, according to Sky News. Dad David Beckham said he was "really proud," of his little guy. "He's having fun, he's enjoying it."

The appearance wasn't without controversy, though, as irascible British radio host Piers Morgan criticized the Beckhams on "Good Morning Britain," for "putting these kids into the public domain while simultaneously saying privacy." Morgan said Cruz should be "going to school" instead of releasing singles.
The young star's manager, Braun, came to his defense when Morgan tweeted, "he's an 11-yr-old child being cynically pimped out by his famous parents with your collusion. Be proud Scooter!" Braun shot back, "he is an 11 year old who wanted to make a song to help other kids. Once again Piers shows why he is a jackass and why his show was cancelled."
. @piersmorgan how about you match him dollar for dollar to the charity? Instead of criticizing step up and help these kids the way Cruz is.

. @piersmorgan I will take that as a no...no u won't support charity like an 11 year old will. But u can judge kids when u get paid on BGT?
— Scooter Braun (@scooterbraun) December 7, 2016
. @piersmorgan please answer my question and stop dodging with bs. Will u match his donation to charity? Or continue to be a hypocrite?
