Post-credits scenes aren’t George Miller’s style. Throughout all five Mad Max films, the Australian director avoided them in lieu of flat-out stating that he’s already working on another prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. We also wrote what happened to Max in the year before we encounter him in [that film],” Miller told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. “We have a whole story of that, which I would like to do sometime if I get the chance.”

Furiosa, a prequel to Fury Road that follows Imperator Furiosa, fills in the gaps of the Mad Max franchise. Though the story works as a stand-alone adventure, fans of the series learn more about Furiosa’s origins and how she came to drive the big rig for Immortan Joe at the start of Fury Road. Originally played by Charlize Theron in Fury Road, the heroine is played as a younger version by Dune: Part Two’s Anya Taylor-Joy.

Still, the end credits do contain scenes to better connect the story between Furiosa and Fury Road. As the credits roll, fans are treated to a montage of moments from Fury Road that depict the ongoing adventures of Furiosa throughout the hit Mad Max film. One of the final shots is of Nux’s (Nicholas Hoult) bird bobblehead, which was lost in a massive car wreck. Could this symbolize a potential prequel for the character? Nothing is out of the question after Furiosa, but whatever Miller whips up next is sure to rip just as hard as Fury Road.
