In the reboot of the show — later canceled due to Barr’s controversial and racist tweet directed at a former President Barack Obama adviser — the titular character was revealed to have voted for former President Donald Trump. In real life, Barr has been vocal of her support of Trump. Barr released a comedy special on Fox Nation last year titled, “Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!”
Eric Trump

Former acting U.S. attorney general Matthew Whitaker is a University of Iowa alumnus. Whitaker will join Barr at the Team Trump Iowa Rally in Boone on Jan. 9. The Ankeny native served as U.S. attorney in Iowa and then joined the U.S. Justice Department. While a student at UI, Whitaker played tight end for the Hawkeyes from 1988 to 1992.
Ben Carson
The retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson ran to be the Republican Party’s 2016 presidential nominee. He is also a former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Carson will be in Davenport on Jan. 10 and Marion on Jan. 11 supporting Trump.
Kristi Noem
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem visited Sioux City to support Trump on Jan. 3. Trump said that Noem is one of the people he’d consider as a running mate in an interview with NBC in September. Noem made history as South Dakota’s first female governor when she took office in 2019.
Marjorie Taylor Greene
Also supporting Trump on Jan. 4 was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. Greene was in Keokuk at event center The Hidden Tower. In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in August, Greene shared she’d consider being Trump’s running mate.
