Emma Heming Willis is setting the record straight regarding her husband, Bruce Willis, and his ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia.

The 45-year-old model defended the actor from "stupid" claims in a new video shared via Instagram over the weekend.

Emma posted the detailed clip on Sunday morning (March 3) after she admitted she was "clickbaited" over a headline about her family, which insisted that there is "no more joy in my husband."

"That is far from the truth," she said in the video. "I need society, and whosever's writing these stupid headlines, to stop scaring people. Stop scaring people to think that once they get a diagnosis of some kind of neurocognitive disease that that's it, it's over, let's pack it up, nothing else to see here, we're done. No. It is the complete opposite of that."

"There is grief and sadness, there's all of that," she continued, "But you start a new chapter. And that chapter is filled."

"It's filled with love, it's filled with connection, it's filled with joy, it's filled with happiness. That's where we are," she said. "So stop with these stupid headlines. These stupid clickbaity things that freak people out."

"To whom it may concern, please be mindful [of] how you frame your [stories] to the public about dementia and dig deeper. There are so many wonderful organizations and specialist within this space to reach out to so you can really do your due diligence to iron your story and content out. Thank you," she added in the caption.

Emma, who has previously shared updates regarding her 68-year-old husband's health battle, is the latest member of the Willis family to speak out about the Die Hard star's condition this year. In January, his ex-wife, Demi Moore, offered media personality Andy Cohen an important tip for those "who have family members who have dementia" or "who are maybe caring for them or in their lives”.

“I think the most important thing I could share is just to meet them where they’re at," she said.

"When you let go of who they’ve been, or who you think they [should be], or who even you would like them to be, you can then really stay in the present and take in the joy and the love that is present and there for all that they are, not all that they’re not.”
