The embattled rapper wiped his entire account clean just before the weekend. Poof, all gone — from pictures of his seven kids and old music videos to the apology he issued after shocking footage resurfaced of him viciously attacking his ex Cassie Ventura.

So why the Insta purge?

A source tells TMZ that the 54 year old plainly wanted a reset and there was no ulterior motive. As for deleting the apology, that wasn’t a “dig” at Ventura, because the mea culpa lives permanently on the Internet, the insider adds.

A scan of Combs’ other social media accounts reveals he left X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook alone.

Pinned on X is Combs’ Dec. 6, 2023 statement he issued after quickly settling Ventura’s lawsuit, which alleged years of abuse. More and more people from his past subsequently came out of the woodwork to accuse the mogul of heinous behavior, which he vehemently denied.

“Enough is enough,” begins the statement, which doesn’t allow comments. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Two months later, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones claimed in court documents that Combs and his associates sexually harassed and threatened him.

That bombshell suit triggered the March 25 federal raids on Diddy’s homes in both Los Angeles and Star Island as part of a sex trafficking probe.

The investigation is ongoing.
