Leave it to Elle Fanning to give us a lesson on traveling in style.
The actor touched down at the airport in Nice, France this morning for the last weekend of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. And for her grand arrival, there were no cozy sweats or big sneakers in sight; instead, Fanning debuted a red-carpet-worthy travel look courtesy of Bottega Veneta, the core of which was a slouchy baby-blue suit.
The set was composed of an oversize blazer with a black button, and breezy high-waisted trousers which pooled around Fanning’s shoes: a fabulous pair of champagne heeled slippers with a knotted metallic gold strap. The pretty vintage-inspired heels—also by Bottega Veneta—looked like something Fanning could have pulled out of her wardrobe on The Great, where she played a loose, opulent, and dramatic version of former Russian empress Catherine the Great.
Fanning wore a simple white ribbed tank by Bottega (which retails for a hot $550) under her blazer, and cinched her pants with a black leather Bottega belt with a golden buckle. She went makeup-free and finished her fit with classic black Bottega shades, a gold ring, and the most luxurious travel bag of the season: Bottega Veneta’s woven leather triangle tote, in white.
The actor placed the slouchy bag on top of her mint-green carry-on a she walked through the Nice airport with her security team. Oh, to be a fly inside her A-list luggage.
