Elizabeth Bennet’s home in ‘Pride and Prejudice’ lists. See what it looks like now
An estate that served as one of the shooting locations for the BBC’s miniseries “Pride and Prejudice” in 1995 has hit the real estate market in Wiltshire for $7.2 million.
Most who are familiar with the series – starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle – will recognize the property as Longbourn, home of Elizabeth Bennet and her family.
In reality, the property is an equestrian estate called Luckington Court, and it was “extended and remodeled in a 16th Century or earlier core” the listing on RightMove.co.uk says.
“This exemplary English country dwelling house, with its elegant well-proportioned rooms, good ceiling heights and tall sash windows, provides not only a wonderful home and place to live but also a profitable Estate, with expanded farming, residential and commercial income streams,” the listing describes.
The eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion was recently renovated and features including:
A piano room
Wine cellar
Formal dining room
Library
19 acres of grassland
There are also five other “dwellings” and farm buildings on the property.
According to the New York Post, the estate was previously listed in 2018.
