Election Day 2023: Results from uncontested races in the Des Moines metro

Here are the results from uncontested mayoral, city council and school board races in the Des Moines metro.

Ankeny City Council

Bobbi Bentz, Jeff Perry and Todd Shafer were reelected to Ankeny City Council. All incumbents, none faced challengers. Bentz received 30.59% of the votes, Perry received 36.05% and Shafer received 29.48%, according to unofficial results.

Bondurant-Farrar School Board

Incumbent Stacia Sanny, Laurel Swanson and incumbent Kayla Vandehaar were all elected to four-year terms on the Bondurant-Farrar School Board. One candidate, Patrick Meyer, was elected for a two-year term.

Sanny received 32.89% of votes, Swanson received 32.26%, Vandehaar received 33.71% and Meyer received 99.13% of the votes, according to unofficial results.

Bondurant City Council

Tara Cox, Chad Driscoll and Angela McKenzie were reelected to Bondurant City Council. All incumbents, Cox received 33.09% of the votes, Driscoll received 32.50% of votes and McKenzie received 33%, according to unofficial results.

Clive City Council

Susan Judkins, Srikant Mikkilineni and Ted Weaver, all incumbents, were reelected to Clive City Council. Judkins received 32.66% of votes, Mikkilineni received 32.40% and Weaver received 33.63%, according to unofficial results.

Grimes City Council

Andrew Borcherding and Eric Johansen, both incumbents, were reelected to Grimes City Council. Borcherding received 44.64% of the votes and Johansen received 47.66%, according to unofficial results.

Johnston City Council

Bryan Burkhardt, Tom Cope and Suresh Reddy, all incumbents, were reelected to Johnston City Council. Burkhardt received 33.60% of the votes, Cope received 30.42% and Reddy received 34.99%, according to unofficial results.

Johnston mayor

Paula Dierenfeld was reelected as Johnston mayor. Dierenfeld, an incumbent, did not face any challengers. Dierenfeld received 97.16% of the votes, according to unofficial results.

Pleasant Hill City Council

Konnor Hodges and Leonard Murray were elected to Pleasant Hill City Council, joining incumbent Mark A. Konrad, who was reelected. The three did not face any challengers. Hodges received 35% of the votes, Konrad got 33% and Murray 30%, according to unofficial results.

Urbandale City Council

Patricia Boddy and Blake Rozendaal were elected to Urbandale City Council, joining incumbent Bridget Carberry Montgomery, who was reelected. The three did not face any challengers. Boddy received 31% of the votes, Montgomery got 33% and Rozendaal, 36%, according to unofficial results.

Waukee City Council

Cristine Crone and Rob Grove were elected to Waukee City Council at-large seats. Crone, an incumbent, was reelected to her seat and is joined by newcomer Grove. The two did not face any challengers. Crone received 51% of the votes and Grove got 47%, according to unofficial results.

Waukee mayor

Courtney Clarke was reelected as Waukee mayor. Clarke, an incumbent, did not face any challengers. Clarke received 96% of the votes, according to unofficial results.

Windsor Heights City Council

Threase Harms and Susan Skeries were reelected to Windsor Heights City Council. The two, both incumbents, did not face any challengers. Harms received 45% of the votes and Skeries got 51%, according to unofficial results.
