Elder Care in Bartlesville names new executive director

Elder Care in Bartlesville announced the appointment of Christina Bishop as its new executive director.

She has been with Elder Care for 17 years and steps up from her recent position as CEO and Officer in Charge, according to a news release.

Bishop expressed gratitude and excitement about her new role. She acknowledged Elder Care's significant impact on the community and is "eager to build upon the strong foundation that has been laid."

"Accepting the position of executive director at Elder Care marks an exciting new chapter for both myself and the organization," Bishop said in a release. "As executive director, I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, board members, volunteers and community partners to further our mission. I feel blessed to be able to serve others in a community that I love."

With its 40-year legacy, Elder Care offers critical resources and services for aging populations in Washington, Nowata and Osage counties. As executive director, Bishop will spearhead efforts to maintain and expand these services, ensuring the elderly can lead dignified, independent lives.

Mark Wilburn, president of the Washington County Elder Care Board of Directors, expressed his enthusiasm for Bishop's promotion.

"I am thrilled to have Christina take on this new position at Elder Care," Wilburn said. "She has a long-standing relationship with the organization, and her dedication to helping mature adults within our community is evident every day."
