Eight from Richland County earn All-Mid-Buckeye Conference honors in baseball

MANSFIELD — In all, eight Richland County baseball players were named All-Mid-Buckeye Conference on Monday.

Lucas' Jack DiBartolomeo, Judah Chamberlin and Anthony Fanello were first team selections along with Mansfield Christian's Brock Rentzel.

DIVISION EXPANSION: State tournaments to see massive change after division expansion

Chamberlin hit .417 with 30 hits, nine RBIs and 12 runs scored while Fanello hit .328 with 20 hits, 11 RBIs and 18 runs scored. DiBartolomeo was one of the best two-way players in the MBC after hitting .306 with 22 hits, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored while posting a 5-2 record on the mound with a 2.24 earned run average and 73 strikeouts.

Rentzel led the Flames with a .346 batting average with 18 hits, nine RBIs and 15 runs scored.

Lucas' Ray Caudill was a second team selection while Bobby Grover earned honorable mention.

Mansfield Christian's Zach Dumbeck and Josh Hillman were also honorable mention selections.
