Taylor Swift's tenth studio album, Midnights, is finally here, and Swifties are being fed extremely well during release week. Not only did we meet Tay at midnight for her album drop, but her "special very chaotic surprise" at 3 a.m. EST was a deluxe version of the highly-anticipated record with seven more songs.

On top of that, her official fan page Taylor Nation posted a calendar marked with important dates and fun Midnights events to look forward to, like appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Graham Norton Show.

Part of Taylor's exciting release week festivities is the music video for "Anti-Hero," which was written and directed by the "All Too Well" filmmaker herself and features comedians Mike Birbiglia, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and John Early. For the project, she reunited with Rina Yang, the director of photography for the "All Too Well" short film.

Tay gave the cast and crew a shoutout on social media, writing, "Watch my nightmare scenarios and intrusive thoughts play out in real time, with some help from the excellent @birbigs, @bejohnce, and @maryelizabethellis who fabulously portray… get ready for it… my grown sons and daughter in law? Anyway. Forever grateful to my incredible DP @the_rinayang and our amazing crew. 🌌🤩."

A new Taylor album and music video call for tons of hidden hints and new clues to look for, so you already know what time it is. Ahead, find all Taylor Swift "Anti-Hero" Easter eggs that are scattered throughout the music video.

Glitter Galore

One of the first shots in "Anti-Hero" already seems to parallel Taylor's self-directed music video for her Lover track, "The Man" (which is also chock-full of Easter eggs, including one for her Midnights song, "Karma").

The video starts with Taylor eating breakfast once the clock strikes midnight, which calls back to the opening verse of her Red track, "22." When she cuts into an egg yolk, purple glitter begins to ooze out of it, much like most imagery in "The Man." Later on in "Anti-Hero," we also see Taylor throw up glitter puke on multiple occasions with her alter ego.

The Ghosts of Taylor's Past

The folklore hitmaker confronts most of her fears in this video — including the "ghosts" of her past. The sheeted ghosts all wear accessories that call back to Taylor's past eras, including a cowboy hat to represent her self-titled debut country album and cat ears and floral sunglasses that could be a direct reference to her original music video for "22."

The "New" Taylor

Throughout the video, Taylor is accompanied by her glitzy alter ego that's reminiscent of herself during the Reputation era — a.k.a the "new" Taylor. She seems to egg on the protagonist by encouraging her to party and publicly call people out. This can be a direct reference to Taylor's energy amid both the #Kimye and Scooter Braun drama, when she released public statements (and ngl, a few diss tracks) aimed at them.

There's also a series of scenes where the "new" Taylor teaches the protagonist her ways, with a chalkboard that reads "Everyone Will Betray You" to the disappointed look she gives when she steps on a scale that reads "Fat." The latter is likely a reference to Taylor's own experience with her body image in the public eye, which she addressed in her 2019 documentary, Miss Americana.

"It's not good for me to see pictures of myself every day," she said in the documentary. "It’s only happened a few times, and I’m not in any way proud of it. A picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or ... someone said that I looked pregnant ... and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit — just stop eating."

The "Vote for Me for Everything" Pin

It's no mystery that Taylor is a highly respected award-winning artist, and in the past, she has been criticized for her success — notably at the Grammys. Industry professionals and critics alike have noted that she's gone the extra mile to make the Recording Academy content with her work, whether it be by sending flowers or building relationships with members of the academy. She seems to address this head-on in "Anti-Hero" with the "Vote for Me for Everything" pin she places on her chest.

Her documentary, Miss Americana, also gave a rare glimpse into her reaction to Reputation being snubbed on Grammy nomination day in 2018. Per The New York Times, she was "stoic" and speechless as her publicist revealed that the album was omitted from three of the big categories at the prestigious award show. "I just need to make a better record," she said in the documentary.

We found Wonderland

It wouldn't be a Taylor video without an Alice in Wonderland reference. The singer has famously referenced the novel since 2014, when she released the 1989 track, "Wonderland."

In her latest video, she crawls into a dinner party as she's too big to fit in the room and toward the end, the largest version of herself meets up with the protagonist we see throughout the video and her alter ego. In Alice in Wonderland, the titular character bites into a cake that says "Eat Me," which causes her to grow in size.

The Bow and Arrow

Taylor makes a nod to Lover's "The Archer" when a man shoots her with a bow and arrow in "Anti-Hero." The lyrics of "The Archer" detail her insecurity about her relationships and experience with betrayal, as she sings "I've been the archer / I've been the prey." In her new video, she's the latter as she's shot near the heart with an arrow.

Marjorie

In 2020's Evermore, Taylor wrote the song "Marjorie" about her late grandmother who found success as an opera singer and reportedly encouraged her to pursue a career in music. The 32-year-old musician pays homage to Marjorie with a photo of her hung on the wall behind her in "Anti-Hero," as pointed out by a fan on Twitter.

The Funeral

Buckle up, Swifties, because the funeral scene seems to be Taylor's Magnum Opus when it comes to Easter eggs.

First things first, she's in the casket, which is a direct parallel to "Look What You Made Me Do" when she famously referred to the "Old Taylor" as being dead. In "Anti-Hero," her "daughter-in-law" is also named Kimber and could potentially be inspired by Kim Kardashian (whose full name is Kimberly, BTW). She immediately takes a selfie and is wearing the instantly-recognizable black dress from Taylor's Fearless tour in 2009, the same year Kim said she was Taylor's "biggest" fan in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

In the video Taylor's "son," Chad, comes to the funeral from Ibiza and slightly resembles her real-life ex, DJ Calvin Harris. If that isn’t enough, he's recording a podcast episode during the funeral on his phone, which fans think is a callout to Kim K recording her ex-husband Kanye's phone call with Taylor in 2016.
