EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Yolande Trueman will make the brave decision to report Pastor Clayton to the church officials next week.

Viewers know that Pastor Clayton sexually assaulted Yolande at the church fundraiser earlier this month.

The show broke away from its usual format for the harrowing scenes, as it became clear that this was not Pastor Clayton's first offence.

It has now been confirmed that Yolande's partner Patrick will learn about her devastating ordeal in a special episode that features only the two of them.

At the start of the week, Patrick will grow increasingly worried about Yolande when Sonia lets slip that she missed a medical appointment he didn’t know about.

Yolande's loved ones will continue to become concerned about the noticeable change in her behaviour, but things threaten to get even worse when Denise suggests to Patrick that Pastor Clayton could help.

Patrick takes her advice and confides in Pastor Clayton, who implies that Yolande could be unwell.

During a heart-to-heart, Patrick tells Yolande about Pastor Clayton’s 'concerns', leaving Yolande furious.

The two-hander episode, which will air on Tuesday May 7, will initially show Yolande struggle to tell Patrick the truth about what happened, eventually calling Elaine and asking her to do it instead.

Over the phone, Elaine gently explains what’s happened to a shell-shocked Patrick.

As Patrick tries to process the news, he attempts to talk to Yolande, who locks herself in the bathroom.

When Patrick’s anger kicks in, he heads to confront Pastor Clayton but Yolande manages to stop him.

Once back at home, the couple discuss what Yolande has been through. By the end of the episode, Yolande agrees to report Pastor Clayton to the church officials.

Although Patrick wants to go with Yolande to report Pastor Clayton, she insists on going alone.

When Yolande bravely tells Levi about Pastor Clayton sexually assaulting her, he commends her bravery and promises to start investigating her complaint right away.

However, Patrick isn’t happy to hear that Levi has scheduled a meeting with his superiors about it the following week and is frustrated that the process is so slow.

Unable to control his anger, Patrick collars Levi in the café and tells him to move things along or he’ll take the matter into his own hands.

Patrick later sees Pastor Clayton posturing at the Community Centre and confronts him, prompting Yolande to intervene.

Speaking about next week's scenes, Angela Wynter, who plays Yolande, said: "Yolande doesn’t want Patrick to tangle with Pastor Clayton because she doesn’t want him to get physically hurt.

"She’s felt the wrath of Pastor Clayton, and knows that he’s an evil person. Patrick is an old gunner, and he’ll go in there like he can beat the man, but he’s no physical match for Pastor Clayton who is a much younger man.

"Yolande loves Patrick so much, and she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. There’s no question that it would be the end of her world if anything happened to Patrick."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
