EastEnders airs proposal in early iPlayer episode
EastEnders spoilers follow from Thursday's (May 2) episode, which hasn't yet aired on BBC One.
EastEnders aired another proposal in the show's latest episode, as Whitney Dean impulsively decided to pop the question to her partner Zack Hudson.
Zack has recently risked his future with Whitney by cheating on her with her best friend Lauren Branning last week.
At the time, Zack was hurt that he'd been lied to over Britney's fostering situation, but his guilt intensified when Whitney profusely apologised for everything the following day.
While Lauren has remained adamant they need to come clean to Whitney in the aftermath, Zack has been more apprehensive given the strain she is under already.
Bianca was also horrified to learn what had happened and warned Zack that she would tell Whitney the truth if he didn't manage to return Britney, who had been taken away by social services.
Thursday's episode, which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer, saw Zack become the hero of the hour as Britney is granted permission to stay in Walford thanks to his actions.
With Whitney overwhelmed with happiness, Bianca told Zack that a deal was a deal and that she wouldn't be telling Whitney herself, but reasoned that he still should.
They later all headed to The Vic to meet Olly Alexander, who was visiting Johnny Carter.
Still on a high from the emotions of the day, Whitney decided to take a leaf out of Honey's book and propose to Zack.
Whitney got down on one knee in front of everyone in the pub and asked Zack to marry her.
She was delighted when Zack happily accepted, as both Bianca and Lauren watched on furiously. But will they make it down the aisle?
That remains to be seen but it's already been confirmed that Shona McGarty will be leaving her role as Whitney, with her final scenes due to air in the next few weeks.
