Earth, Wind & Fire postpones Kansas City concert, cites ‘unforeseen circumstances’
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Earth, Wind & Fire’s concert scheduled for July 12 at Starlight Theatre has been postponed because of “unforeseen circumstances,” according to the Starlight website.
Starlight says tickets will be honored for the new show date “and we will have an update for you soon.” The new date has not been announced.

The nine-time Grammy Award-winning R&B/funk group was the only act on the Starlight bill that night. However, the group is also traveling the country with guitarist Carlos Santana; their Miraculous Supernatural Tour postponed six dates after Santana passed out on stage during a concert last week. Promoters said he was battling heat exhaustion and dehydration.
The Santana-Earth, Wind & Fire tour is scheduled to resume July 23. Earth, Wind & Fire’s website lists the group’s next solo concert for July 28.
