No need to phone home, E.T. We’ve found you a place to live right here in Kansas City. Asking price: $349,500.

It’s at 1118 Queens Place, near Holmes Road and 99th Street, a three-bedroom home built in 1968 that looks like an alien spaceship. Squatty but angular.

Realtor Branigan Barnett of Keller Williams Realty Southland Partners played up that otherworldly appearance for the listing. And this week, the listing grabbed the attention of Zillow Gone Wild, which showcases the wackiest offerings on the Zillow real estate website.

“It is such a great property and fun listing and has received so much positive feedback,” Barnett told The Star via email Wednesday.

The listing shows an extraterrestrial being standing inside the front door of the 2,380-square-foot house, a UFO hovering overhead and a dinosaur inexplicably peeking over the house from the backyard.

“Are you ready for a home that is out of this world?! Check out this newly-remodeled spaceship-on-earth!!!” the listing says.

“This three bed, two 1/2 bath home launch pad has all of the extras to make you feel right at home! Amazing Wood Floors Throughout!!! Gorgeous ceilings!! If you have been looking for a home that is unlike any others this is your match!!! Amazing Location! Great Lot!!”

Barnett said she has worked with the home’s owner, local real estate investor Ian Reeves, for seven years as he “takes the roughest houses in a neighborhood and turns them into the best.”

Reeves was a mechanical engineer for a construction company who flipped houses on the side before he started doing it full time.

During an open house over the weekend, Reeves learned more about one of the home’s previous owners from a neighbor.

“The house was originally built in 1968 by Kay Dennis who was a lounge singer, and is still alive.” Reeves told Barnett. “We actually had some of her music playing during the open house.

“I purchased the house about a year ago, it had changed hands a couple times since Kay was the owner and had fallen into a pretty serious state of disrepair. We did a complete renovation on the property.”

Barnett told local photographer Samantha Ward with Picture KC to “get creative” with the listing photos, “hence the aliens and dinosaurs.”

A sunken conversation pit right inside the front door has been a conversation starter online.

“I see the Vulcans have finally started putting their compounds on Zillow,” wrote one Twitter user.
