Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves has delivered the first big movie reveal of Comic-Con 2022 as it has launched the first trailer.

The trailer was debuted during today's (July 21) panel in Hall H with the cast and directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, where we also got the official first looks at Chris Pine and Bridgerton's Regé-Jean Page in the new movie.

The clip plays out like a sword-and-sandal heist adventure, where Bard (Pine), Barbarian (Rodriguez) and their Paladin (Page) have to make up for accidentally unleashing an unspeakable evil on the entire world. As you do, really!

Now, it's up to these same three, and the misfits they find along their journey to take down the same sorceress (Sophia Lillis) they accidentally empowered.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves also features Fast & Furious star Michelle Rodríguez, Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis, with Hugh Grant playing the main villain Forge Fletcher.

The title for the new movie was revealed back in April 2022, but the plot details had been shrouded in secrecy until now.

Back in March 2022, Pine told Collider that the movie was "Game of Thrones mixed with a little Princess Bride, just a smidge of Holy Grail". "It's a lot of fun. It's got a lot of thrills. It's poppy, it's eighties heartfelt, there's a bit of Goonies in there," he added.

"My character, he's the ultimate party planner. I think it's going to be really good. I mean, who f**king knows, but I think we got a good shot."

It's obviously not the first time that Dungeons & Dragons has been brought to the screen as there was a movie released in 2000, starring Jeremy Irons and Marlon Wayans. Despite being a critical and commercial flop, there were two direct-to-DVD sequels.

Here's hoping this version fares a lot better than that one.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves is released in cinemas on March 3.
