Duane Morris & Selvam's Singapore Director Departs for Disputes Boutique

A one-year-old disputes boutique in Singapore has hired corporate litigation director Wei Chern Tham from Duane Morris' joint venture in the city-state.

Tham joins Fullerton Law Chambers as a director from Duane Morris & Selvam, the Philadelphia-based firm’s Singapore joint venture with local firm Selvam. Tham focuses on corporate litigation, including shareholders' disputes and breaches of directors' duties, as well as litigation related to securities and banking. He also advises on construction disputes and insolvency matters.

Tham joined Duane Morris & Selvam in 2015 as a director. Previously, he practiced at leading local firm Allen & Gledhill, joining the firm in 2007 and making partner in 2010. He also did a one-year stint at another leading local firm, WongPartnership.

Fullerton Law Chambers was launched in May of last year by founding directors Edmund Eng, a former partner of local firm Shook Lin & Bok, and by Alfred Lim, a former director of midsized local firm Quahe Woo & Palmer.

Last year, Babita Ambekar, a former special counsel who led Duane Morris & Selvam's India and Japan practice groups, left to join DWF as a partner.
