If (just like us) you too thought Dua Lipa’s latest hit, “Houdini,” couldn’t get any better, you are in for quite a treat, as the pop superstar just dropped a live version that will have you dancing, grooving—and taking style cues from it.

Lipa once again made magic with the flirty, hypnotic tune, with the release of a live, electric “London Sessions” iteration. For the performance, she stands front and center in an empty warehouse, while her bandmates and backup singers encircle her. The nu-disco video evokes the mood of a club in the wee hours of the night, with neon-blue LEDs and vibrant pink strobe lights glowing and beaming all over the place—the perfect complement to the song’s psychedelic pop flavor, no doubt influenced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, who cowrote and coproduced the hit.

Even with all of those fluorescents gleaming from every direction, we couldn’t take our eyes off of the production’s shining star: Lipa herself, suited up in the coolest rock-star fit. Thanks to some masterful camerawork—which makes the viewer feel like they’ve just indulged in a long night of fun—Lipa’s edgy look can be appreciated from every angle. The three-time Grammy winner once again skipped pants, instead cutting a hot, grunge figure in black leather lace-up hot shorts, which featured frilly details along the hem for a feminine touch, over transparent black tights. She tucked a matching long-sleeved graphic tee—emblazoned with “Teen Stars 3D” and the image of a man in a translucent iridescent blue—into her itty-bitty pants, and paired it all with showstopping black lace-up platform boots. To up the edge and the ante, Lipa added layers of chunky silver chain necklaces, including one that featured a large lock, a stack of silver earrings, and several silver rings. For glam, she opted for a sultry, dark look, complete with black winged eyeliner and a matte mauve lip, while letting her signature rocker-red hair down.

The singer and model (and actor) described “Houdini” in a statement marking its release in November. “[It] embodies that 4:00 a.m. feeling when the night is coming to a close and you’re a bit sweaty, but you don’t want the party to end,” she said.

Earlier this week, Lipa traded her cool stage-ready ensemble for red carpet glamour at the 2024 Golden Globes, wowing in a strapless Schiaparelli dress that channeled her Barbie movie character, Mermaid Barbie. She stole the show in the custom-made black velvet bustier mermaid gown that featured the brand’s signature gold and diamond gilded bones along the bodice in a skeletal layout.
