Dua Lipa is breathing new life into every bow lover’s favorite trend.

The “Dance the Night” singer attended Thursday night’s Time100 Gala in New York City wearing a new take on the coquette trend. This involved a bejeweled long-sleeved gown, custom-made by Chanel, featuring ornate silver scalloped details all over. The shape of the neckline provided some necessary edge, with a deep plunging V arcing into a keyhole cutout over her belly button, punctuated by a prim black bow adorned with a floral brooch.

Lipa let the dress do most of the talking, accessorizing sparingly with a diamond waterfall necklace and black Gianvito Rossi heels.

For fans of Lipa’s inimitable red-carpet style, the Chanel piece may call to mind a similar silhouette she wore to the 66th Grammy Awards this past February. At the time, the musician repped Courrèges in another incredible long-sleeved gown with a deep V neckline. This one was also silver, though entirely covered in layers of metallic leaflike chainmail, and additionally featured daring side slit cutouts above her waist.

Lipa ruminated on her love for dressing up in a 2017 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I like having one piece that makes a whole outfit and then you can wear everything else that’s quite simple,” she said at the time. “I’ve always loved dressing up. I like it when things look like you’ve just thrown them on and sometimes the things you really do just throw on look the best. I’ve always been inspired by the ’90s, and I like wearing baggy trousers, and blazers with slipdresses and thigh-high boots or leather jackets, and just a mixture of all those together.”
