Drunk guy outside Kid Rock bar used his colostomy bag as a weapon: cops

This really should come across as more of a surprise.

A drunk ex-con with white supremacist tattoos is accused of pulling a colostomy bag out of his pants and using it as a weapon to assault police outside singer Kid Rock’s Tennessee eatery.

The Smoking Gun reports that Nicholas Newhart, 39, was arrested Saturday night after causing a ruckus while blocking the emergency exit door of Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock ‘N’ Roll Steakhouse. According to a police report on the crime site, Newhart was drunk, holding a bottle and defying requests from security guards to clear the way.

When police were waved down to assist security guards, Newhart allegedly “took out the colostomy bag from the inside of his fronts pants area and started swinging the bag around from left to right hitting two of metro police officers with his feces.”

Cops say they arrested the suspect, who couldn’t stand straight, and jailed him for assaulting the officers, as well as disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

The Smoking Gun reports that Newhart, whose tattoos include a Confederate flag, has a rap sheet that includes convictions for theft, vandalism, obstruction and public intoxication.

Rock, aka Robert Ritchie, used to sport the Confederate flag as part of his high-voltage act. He has denied identifying with that symbol’s ties to racism and declared on Facebook “I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!” when controversy over the banner arose in 2017. He also has a mixed race son.

The “Rebel Soul” musician’s bar reportedly had its beer license suspended last summer for violating pandemic restrictions. According to the Tennessean, the bar responded by joining a lawsuit against the city of Nashville.
