But if you thought Dr Pepper couldn't get more refreshing, just wait until you try their brand-new flavor. That’s right! The original 23 flavors, which are still somewhat of a mystery, are getting an even more summery spin.
Wondering what it could be? Here's a hint: Imagine yourself sitting by the ocean with your toes in the sand or lounging poolside under an umbrella. Now picture that same scenario with the newest limited-edition Dr Pepper flavor in hand.
Still haven't guessed it? Well, allow us to introduce you to your new favorite summer drink: Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut! 🥥
This tropical twist on the classic soda is described as having layers of island-y coconut flavor with a lusciously creamy finish. Yum!
In a social media post announcing the news, Dr Pepper said it will "transcend your taste buds to a summertime paradise."
Though Dr Pepper has been around since 1885, the soda brand is no stranger to keeping us on our toes! In recent years, the company has released other limited-edition flavors, like Strawberries and Cream and Cherry Vanilla, but this time around a spokesperson for the brand says it will be "the only coconut-cream-flavored dark soda on the market."
Starting May 1, the new coconut-flavored drink will hit shelves in both 12 oz 12-pack cans and 20 oz bottles. It'll also be available in both regular and zero sugar. But remember, this is a limited edition run, so you'll only have until the end of July to try it.
That means you'll want to pick up a case or two… or four (if you're anything like Ladd) and turn your backyard into a tropical escape. We have inflatable pools and summer dips to make the day complete.
