Dr. Anthony Fauci says Brad Pitt did a ‘great job’ portraying him on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Brad Pitt’s latest performance earned rave reviews — from the man he impersonated.

Dr. Anthony Fauci applauded Pitt’s portrayal of him on “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend, saying he did a “great job.”

“I think he did great,” Fauci said Monday on Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Dia," according to Entertainment Weekly. “I’m a great fan of Brad Pitt, and that’s the reason why when people ask me who I would like to play me, I mention Brad Pitt. He’s one of my favorite actors.”

Pitt appeared as Fauci during the cold open segment of “Saturday Night Live,” wearing a gray wig and glasses.

The sketch involved Pitt as the infectious diseases expert attempting to explain what President Trump really meant with some of his comments during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pitt, 56, ended the segment by removing his wig and thanking Fauci, healthcare workers, first responders and their families for their contributions during the pandemic.

“I think he showed that he is really a classy guy when at the end he took off his hair and thanked me and all of the healthcare workers,” Fauci told the Telemundo show. “So not only is he a really great actor, but he is actually a classy person.”

Earlier this month, Fauci was asked on CNN which actor he’d like to see portray him on “SNL,” with Pitt and Ben Stiller pitched to him as possibilities.

Fauci chose Pitt with a laugh.
